User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0
Build ID: 20130104154505
Steps to reproduce:
I was typing an email in gmail.
Actual results:
Some words where being squiggled incorrectly, moreover it was just the ends of the words that where being marked.
If I edited(add then remove a space) the words the squiggle marks would go.
If I asked firefox to correct the words (e.g. most with ost squiggled) then I would get the beginning twice (e.g. mmost).

Hi,
Sorry I am not able to reproduce this. Does this happen always or only for some specific words. Also does this occur only in GMail or other sites also? Can you check if you are able to reproduce this after restarting firefox?

1. Which language is it?
2. Could you attach a screenshot (PNG)?
3. Is hardware acceleration enabled ( see about:support#graphics-tbody )? Does it depend on whether it is is enabled (Preferences → Advanced)?
Thanks.

It seems to be random some times one word sometimes another. If I remove the squiggled word and retype, or remove a letter and retype the squiggle will probably go away.
It happened in gmail, just before I put in this bug report. It was happening a lot, but I have not seen it since (I have used gmail and other sites several times since then).
I am using uk-english.
It hardware acceleration enabled? see below, I could not comprehend.

Richard have you seen that behavior since you reported this?
Can you reproduce it with the newest Firefox versione?

Richard, it is passed a long time without having more info.
I'll close this but feel free to reopen this bug report if you can still reproduce the problem.
If you can still reproduce the error please attach a screenshot or try using a new clean profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles#os=linux&browser=fx24
