Using the first generation Kindle Fire re-entering the app from the Kindle home results in a vertical black band.

This is the same behavior in Firefox 18 - 21. Until we are shipping in the Amazon store this is not a priority to find a regression range.

Doesn't affect Kindle Fire HD. Kevin, could you reconfirm with a thirty-something Firefox?

I have to dig out the device, but is this really that important? Given this doesnt affect the recent Kindle HD's and on, and we never shipped firefox in the amazon marketplace, i'd question if we should be spending dev/qa time on a limited scenario. Feel free to challenge me though.

Feel free to challenge me though. I'm operating under the current assumption that we are going to ship in the Amazon Appstore, and I'd like to know if we should blocklist first-generation Kindle Fires, or if the bug got accidentally fixed in the past year.

sorry it took awhile to locate the device. Just tried launching the app into about:home, and see no graphical or repainting issues as reported. Tested against 34.0a1 nightly, (2014-08-01). Kindle Fire, 1st generation
