I tried implementing this locally, and found it kind of jarring to replace the content with the Firefox Start screen when you tap, especially since we replace it again (usually just moments later) with the autocomplete screen when you start typing. I think we should either go straight to the autocomplete screen (with top sites filling the "your results" area), or keep content visible until you begin typing.

Kind of separate but exacerbated by this change, we don't provide an obvious way to escape from the autocomplete screen. The back button in the navigation toolbar doesn't currently do it, and it's not clear whether it should.
Shorlander, we talked about this at the work week. Unfortunately, I can only remember that you and I played with it but not what decisions we made. Do you recall?
