Using Mozilla on Linux, built from the tip this morning.

Steps to Reproduce:
1) To go any Bugzilla bug
2) Perform some weird combination of things (not easy to figure out what)
3) Type some words, seperated by spaces

Expected Result:
Normal text shown in text field, no movement of the page viewport.

Actual Result:
Entering characters was as expected. However, every time I hit the spacebar, the
viewport would jump down as if I had hit the Page Down key (in fact it could be
that the page was brought to the very end, as if the Page Down key had been hit
many times, I don't recall). I had to manually scroll back up the page to see
the text area and where I was typing, each time I hit spacebar.

I don't expect this to be easy to reproduce.

There have been a number of bugs filed on various platforms relating to this,
many of which are confused as to whether they occur on any key or just spacebar,
and what the effect of the jump is (some describe the page jumping back up
again). This bug concerns only the spacebar causing the jump, and the page not
returning up to the text.

Up until today, I had not seen this bug in some time. I'm not reopening the
nearest bug nearest to this since most have excessive noise.

This is a very annoying bug which I see on a regular basis with recent builds.

I think this is a dup of a bug that may be on saari@netscape.com's plate.

The problem is reproducing it reliably so that we can figure out what's wrong in
the debugger.
I'll target 0.9.2 and take it, but I do need a solid test case.

See comments in bug 35952 from 2001-05-30 07:07 onwards. I am semi-reproduce it
by letting the sidebar auto-refresh (tinderbox builds sidebar) while typing.
When the tinderbox sidebar panel updates, do you loose the cursor in the text field?

Can't say I noticed. I'll try to look the next time it occurs, but as it happens
for a fraction of a second (depending on network activity) it can be hard to
spot the busy mouse cursor, then swap back to the textfield cursor to check it's
still there in the time.

Might be a duplicate of bug 83940.
