I'm pretty sure this was decided as the correct behaviour in another bug, but I don't have the bug number immediately handy.

Josh, what's the expected behavior?

A related discussion is going on in bug 846087. Can UX take a look at that one too, please?
(In reply to leo.bugzilla.gaia from comment #0) > 3. Tester's Action : Call conversation->camera app->video recording > 4. Detailed Symptom (ENG.) : Camera app runs and records video successfully > during call conversation > 5. Detailed Symptom (KOR.) : > 6. Expected : Camera app should not open during call conversation. Why not? I could see how this may be useful in scenarios where users are talking on the phone (using a headset) and want to record videos at the same time. The cases that I can see why this would not be a good thing: - If call audio is recorded at the same time, this could be a privacy issue. - If performance of video recording or phone app is poor while on a call.

Bug cleaning. I see this as non issue. Why should we prevent the user to record video while making a call? Flagging UX for confirmation

Looked at the bug mentioned by Mike and the thread is correct - leaving the camera app should stop the recording. This makes sense. In this bug, the user is on the phone and then decides to record a video. My gut is to say no, we shouldn't let the user do this. But I'm failing to come up with a clear reason. I did check out android and ios and neither let you do audio type things in the background and record. - Making a call, the video option is removed - Listening to podcast, radio, music - the audio stops Is there some sort of privacy issue or conflict of channels or something that we aren't thinking of?
