64-71-8-110.static.wiline.com is an example IP that we have seen people having difficulty logging in to IRC here at the Firefox OS App Day happening at Computer History Museum. I estimate 50-100 people here eventually (the event has just started), so setting at 200 or 250 seems safe. The event ends by this evening / tonight, so you should be able to remove the block by 9pm.
This was done at the request of Havi Hoffman, we'll be able to retest if this works.

Added 250 connections for that IP. Ping me on IRC if you have other IPs to be added.

Thanks Dumitru (and Gary). We will have App Days in multiple locales around the world next Saturday Jan 26, across several time zones. we will be pointing participants to #openwebapps on irc.mozilla.org Added Pierros, since he is also on the core team. The largest events are in Bangalore, Madrid, Indonesia, Athens, Sao Paulo and Paris. Each event is managing its own wifi and internet. Is there any way to prepare for this issue next weekend? thanks, Havi
Havi, Probably hard to know in advance the IPs that the locations will use. But if you can gather this before the event, we can add the exceptions beforehand. You can always file a bug for us, like this one, and adjust the severity accordingly so as to page IT oncall if an urgent action is required.
If the default limit of IP connections per IP is 5-10 as I vaguely recall it to be, we will quite definitely hit the limit pretty easily at each location.
Exception removed.
