Not able to reproduce by most up-to-date 2013-01-19 build.
But, suspect it's an issue of failing to search devices instead of an issue of gallery started bluetooth searching.

Agree with Walter. If it's the case, it should be an issue of searching, not related to Gallery or file sharing. I couldn't reproduce either with the latest build, though.

Just found that there might be a bug about card view. I followed STR, after step (3), sometimes the system would stuck at the card view without getting into Settings app. Still checking now.

ok, issue confirmed. I can reproduce this after do the following steps:
1. Launch Settings app
2. Make sure Bluetooth has been switched off in Settings app.
3. Launch Gallery app and share a photo.
= Expected result =
The Settings app should be switched to foreground.
= Actual result =
After that, you should see something wrong, like the photo I attached in comment 4, or Settings app will not be even switched.
= Note =
Without step (1), which means if Settings app is not launched before step(3), everything seems to be fine. You can give it a try by killing Settings app and starting from step (2).
