When you download some mail you get a notice '1 of 4 ...',
'2 of 4 ...' etc until they are all received. If you click
on a message while this is happening then the '2 of 4 ...'
notice is replaced by 'Document Done' until the mail
recieving code starts downloading the next message. This
can be after a while if the next message is large (attachment
etc), and is exactly the point when a user may want to read a
message before a download has completed.
Eudora has a nice little bar to repesent download progress where
the bar is divided into as many sections as there are messages
to receive and the bar move along the particular message's
section in proportion to the fraction of that message
that has been transfered, very intuitive.
