Steps to reproduce:

Happens when getting e-mail from my account (internal MS Exchange Server). And seems to be related to the attached SPAM e-mail. It only occurs when processing e-mails so I guess the problem might be related to filtering algorithms (maybe SPAM auto filter?).


Actual results:

Thunderbird crashes. Note that when the e-mail is processed and TB is offline then I can open (read) the e-mail. TB stops crashing when I remove the mail from server with a different program.


Expected results:

Mail should be marked as SPAM and TB should not crash.
I can't reproduce.

Also note that I have a filter for fake mails. Not sure if I can export it, but here are the rules:
From is maciej@mol.com.pl
Received doesn't contain 192.168.0.
To or CC contains maciej@mol.com.pl

...what to do with it:
Mark it as SPAM,
mark read,
Move to SPAM.

Thanks for the testcase and crash IDs
This is bug 770262 which is fixed in version 16 and newer.
So your crashing should stop if you update to version 17
Status: UNCONFIRMED → RESOLVED
