We don't need the database fully initialized to show the url bar.
Ideally this is loaded async in parallel with first paint.

This may not actually be leo+

The total launch time is OK, it's the initial launch time which is problematic. That  has to be solved in the system & homescreen apps and/or Web APIs and is general to all apps.

Also note that we don't actually block on database initialisation to display the URL bar, just the tab counter and the top site thumbnails page. This could be improved but probably isn't leo+

This was much improved when lazy loading was introduced, but there may be more we can do.

- on par or faster than stock browser startup time (as per Eideticker)

We already did a lot here. There may be a little more that we can do to remove things from the startup path but unless the startup time of the browser is identified as a problem then it probably isn't worth the effort given the browser app is probably going away in 1.4.
