Please don't move bug out of Untriaged if you don't know the Product/component. File Handling is for saving files/helper applications. What are the steps to reproduce ? Never assume that everyone know how to reach a function inside a website. In case that you mean the photoviewer function that can be opened with the arrows at the top right of the photo from your URL: This works for me with Seamonkey trunk and Firefox18 on Windows7. Please try the Firefox safemode to be sure that this isn't caused by extensions. - http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Component: File Handling → Untriaged
I did not change "Untriaged" Go to facebook. Click on a picture. I assume that everyone uses Facebook. With over 800million users surely Mozilla writers do too. No I don't mean opening any photoviewer function. I mean clicking on an image in a discussion forum or on someone's page. Will try "safe mode"
Tried restarting Nightly 64 with add-ons disabled. No change, no difference. Still have to press F5 to see image.
Tried again with ALL extensions disabled and ALL add-ons removed. No change, no difference. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151358046793908&set=a.10151198752138908.475684.131929868907&type=1&theater
>With over 800million users surely Mozilla writers do too. There are more people on the world (7billion) and that means that less than 15% of all humans are using FB. Anyway, the "Photo viewer" function matches your screenshot and I can not reproduce the reported issue with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0 Can you please try a 32bit build ? It could be 64bit only bug. FYI: The 64bit windows builds are unsupported and I don't know if a developer wants to fix those builds.
No, it's not a 64bit only build. On my 5 systems - Vista Ultimate 64, XP-Home, Vista Business 32, Windows 2000 SP4 (not in use) - I have: Nightly 64 Firefox 19 - 32bit Aurora 19.0a2 Pale Moon 64 Pale Moon 32 Google Chrome 32 Torch 32 Internet Explorer 32 & 64 It works in Pale Moon - a Mozilla product - it does not work in Firefox, any version. I always have to press F5 no matter which machine I am working on. In all the other browsers, it works fine. Therefore it's a Nightly/Firefox/Aurora (Mozilla) problem.
Pale Moon is no Mozilla.org product but it's based on one (Firefox). Maybe it's not working on your systems because you are logged into Facebook while I'm not ?
Matthias, with all due respect, Sir, I cannot see how your last comment has anything to do with me. I am reporting a problem I found in Nightly, that's all. Would you prefer I go to a different forum? I'll contact +Mozilla Firefox on Google+ if that's what you would like.
I try to understand why I can not reproduce the issue that you see with the same browser (I didn't try 21 but nightly and 18) At this point I can't continue if the bug really depends on a Facebook Account and the message is for other bug triagers. They could ignore this bug if they think that I'm working on it.
As I understand your last comment, you're saying it's a Facebook issue, not a Mozilla issue. Fine, thank you for your assistance. I will take this up again (for the umpteenth time) with Facebook. They have forgotten that Netscape Code is very syntax fussy. I know! I programmed HTML for Netscape since Netscape started.
No, it didn't want to say that this is a Facebook issue. I was trying to say that it's possible that the bug only happens if you are logged in. The underlying reason could be a bug in Facebook or in Gecko/Firefox. Could you create a new, additional profile for testing and load the URL from this bug report without logging into facebook ? - http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing%20profiles
I tried with Firefox 21 on Win 7, and Facebook Theather works fine: http://i.imgur.com/UQ4sjdG.jpg Could you test with a fresh profile, please: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Without having a FB account, it works fine. STR: 1) Open http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=o.374316165928426&type=1 2) Click on a random picture Result: each picture is open in the foreground (with a black frame around).

I will log out of my account and log in again as my "alter ego" account and see if I still have the problem on that account. There is no point in creating another new profile.
You can open the URL you have posted without being logged into facebook. >There is no point in creating another new profile. The point in trying that as test only is to narrow down the issue.
(In reply to Loic from comment #15) > Without having a FB account, it works fine. > > STR: > 1) Open http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=o.374316165928426&type=1 > 2) Click on a random picture > > Result: each picture is open in the foreground (with a black frame around). I have logged out of facebook, clicked the SAWDOS pictures and the same thing happens. BLACK on the left where the picture ought to be.

No it doesn't! I logged in with my other account and clicked on a picture. Same story. Black on the left where the picture should be. I had to press F5 to see the picture.
So it doesn't matter whether I am logged into Facebook or logged out of Facebook, it still does not work on my system. All my add-ons and extensions are still DISabled.
Please, test with a fresh profile to control if the issue is about your current profile or not.
Okay, done. New Mozilla Nightly Profile called "BetaTester" and Facebook's Theater Mode WORKS PERFECTLY. So, there's a problem with my Mozilla Profile that doesn't like Facebook's Theater Mode. I'll go read up on the profile manager on how to use or edit it. Thanks everyone. Sorry to be such a nuisance.
Try to remove the browser cache and FB cookies in your current profile, it could help: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache In addition, there is the official support board for support requests, it's more appropriate than Bugzilla. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions

loading about:permissions and selecting "Forget about this site" for facebook could help.
Sigh, nope, that didn't help. It's either of two profiles "default" or "BRUTUS" (which is my machine name)
Without the ability to upload a picture showing you that it was MY profile all along that caused ALL these problems, all I can say now is I AM SORRY and THANK YOU for your time and efforts. I learned about Firefox Profiles. Now I have to start from scratch again setting up all my pages, tabs, preferences, passwords, etc. Is there no EDIT facility on the Profile Manager? I wish there was!
