I think this issue should be the same with bug 833517. When I tried to reproduce this issue, I can hear a second of sound coming from fm radio before next song playing.

As I mentioned in Comment 1, I can hear a second of sound coming from fm radio and then play next song in music. May I confirm with you that you saw the same with me? Or you always play sound in fm radio after 4?

vliu, it's not the same.  The player completely stops playing with the build I was using.  when I state fast forward, I mean fast forward the song before the song switches and let the song switch by itself.

It kills the thread and doesn't open a new thread to start a new song.

Thanks for your information. May I confirm more?

I synced the latest version of b2g-18 today but get the third situation. The situation I saw is 

1. The fm sound and Music were mixed when Music played in first song.
2. When Music finished the first song and changed to the second song automatically, the fm was shut down and Music still run on its way.

May I know what build you used? b2g-18 or m-c?

I think there is a general case to discuss. When we go step 3, the Music app should disable fm radio when it start playing song. May I got any info from dkuo? This idea can cover the above different situations I and Naoki Hirata saw.

Naoki, I followed your steps but I cannot reproduce this. So I would like to put this qawanted first to find out the reproducible steps.

Vincent, I think your patch might fix this issue, but I remember it's FM app's privilege to use the FMradio api, although it looks like we can get FMradio api in Music app? (I believe it's a bug for permissions...). And the current Audio policy should be able to handle this case, if not, that should be another bug for the Audio policy.

So let's wait QA to gather more information of us, then see if we can find out the root cause.

Expected: only fm radio plays
Actual: both plays, fm radio keeps playing, music app stops after 1 song.
