User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0
Build ID: 20130116073211
Steps to reproduce:
I'm using Thunderbird version 17.0.2 and Lightning 1.9, both Ialian Localization and up to date. My platform is Windows 7.
I'm trying to create an invite for a meeting and i need to select one or more e-mail addresses from my Contact List.
Actual results:
After i've choosen one or more e-mail recipients i submit my invitation using "Salva e esci" button (US. Save and exit ..). Nothing else happens and no e-mail invitation arrive to recipients. The only way i have to see Lightning send e-mail invitation is when i go to some Thunderbird Folders, select a message and using rigth mouse button i click on "Convert as an event". In this way if i invite one e-mail address Lightning is able to sent the invite but just to one addresses. If i select more than one address Lightning send e-mail invitation only to the last one.
Expected results:
Lightning should display a pop-up windows asking if you will send the notification using Outlook compatibility and it should send the message to the recipients.
All the described functions have worked fine with previous version (1.9.2b1 and b2)

It is known that invitation sending doesn't work reliable when using the "Save & Close" command. It is recommended to use just the "Save" command, wait until invitation is send and then close the event dialog.

Solved ... The problem seems to be a SMTP problem. In the account properties of the e-mail used in the Calendar PrefereThe i've changed the smtp server first with google smtp server and then with another authenticated one. Now it works good. Before this the one i've used when the invitations weren't sent has probably a bug.
Thanks
