Can we get a page with mibbit intergrated or a other free irc client to #mozillians as a page for new contributors it would make it easier then linking to chatzilla
Not sure what you mean, if you put an irc://irc.mozilla.org/mozillians link somewhere, it AFAIK already opens with Mibbit in Firefox anyhow.
For new contributors who are new to Mozilla would be useful if they don't have irc

I don't think this should be on mozilla.org or mozillians.org and should be stand-alone and it should be another team outside of WebProd responsible for a web-based IRC client implementation.

Closing this as WORKSFORME as the public cloud IRC service provided by IRCCloud meets all above-stated requirements.
