I'd like to be able to edit the content in describecomponents.cgi so that I can add a link to documentation for each product and component. 

Related to 837878, but doesn't really block or depend on it.
The following changes have been made to the user account lhenry@mozilla.com:

    The account has been added to the editcomponents group.


Please do not add any new components (it's not as easy as it seems), but you're welcome to edit existing descriptions. :)
