Details

To provide SD cards to end users and allows them to do update via SD card. A partner mentioned that it would be very valuable for some countries with limited bandwidth of network access.
After talking with the OEM about the details for this request, here are their responses. Q: Who actually supports a customer in a store with doing this update? A: Normally, it's not a store upgrade. It is in the after-sale, it depends on the protocol for different country, maybe it is OEM, maybe it is the after-sale agent with OEM will do this upgrade. Q: Is the OEM responsible for training store employees to do this or is the carrier? A: The OEM will do it, and provide the document. Q: Which stores would this be done in? A: It depends on the project and countries case by case. Q: Does the OEM do this with other mobile software? A: Yes. Q: What percentage of customers actually update in this manner? A: It always happened that the mass batch upgrade to solve the bug of the software, using the sd card upgrade.
