Can you please be more specific about the bug?  Do you mean that a single chat should be visible in multiple windows at once, or something else?  Or maybe this is a dupe of bug 835111?

Solving bug 835111 would be an improvement over the current situation, but what I was suggesting is to have chat boxes visible in multiple windows at once, so that you don't have to switch window in order to chat.

IMO some of the latter discussion in bug 835111 fits here better.  bug 835111 simply opens chats now in the topmost recent window that chats can work in.  It still isn't entirely correct, but better than pushing all chats into a single window.

Having the chats in all windows is simply too heavy weight and IMO is not a good solution.

I'm personally liking the idea of always moving the chatbar to the top-most-appropriate-window-for-chats, possibly figuring out how to make the chatbar detachable into its own window as well.

I think this is a good bug for some UX discussion.
