From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9+) Gecko/20010603 BuildID: 2001060308 Entering "pr0n" or "porn" results in numerous windows. (Note: not infinite, sooner or later you will get a search result.) Strangely enough, other search terms don't do this (such as "foo", "bar" etc. both of which are not found, just like "porn" isn't found.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit www.crosswalk.com 2. Enter "pr0n" or "porn" into the search field (leave the "directory" choice as the default. 3. Hit enter or click on the Search button. Actual Results: A ton of windows were spawned, until the site finally decided to return "no search results on porn were available". Expected Results: As with other search terms, results should not incur additional windows, rather the results should open in the current page. This is with a standard moz build.
It opens exactly 45 blank windows.
Reproduced on Win98 build 2001060504 - opens 46 blank pop-ups for me.
I get a similar number (~45) on Linux, build 2001060321. Platforms=all?
yup.

Is this a prank? I tried on Netscape 4.74 and IE 6 beta and the windows didn't pop up.
No, this is certainly not a prank. However, you are not likely to see this bug in anything other than Mozilla (which this bug database is intended for, and on which product this bug was filed.)
Don't you think it's a little weird that searching for porn on a religious website would cause this behavior? That's why I tried checking on other browsers to see if the website itself was the culprit
I'm not getting any pop-up windows following these steps with 2001062104 Win2k. Maybe it was a bug (or a feature), and they changed their page.
Yup... Can't reproduce this thingy using Win32 build 2001062211.
wfm, build 2001-06-22-04. verify this one guys.
