RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 583683

People

(Reporter: lopezibanez, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0
Build ID: 20130201190421

Steps to reproduce:

Edit->Preferences->Privacy->When using location bar suggest "History and Bookmarks"

Bookmark this page: http://www.learnenglish.de/grammar/capitaltext.htm
Clear history
Visit a few pages (10 or so) with the word english.

Actual results:

Type "English" in the location bar. The results do not contain the bookmark above. If I clear the history again (or restrict the search to only bookmarks) the bookmark appears (without any star or way to identify that it is a bookmark)

Expected results:

To list all bookmarks that match the word "English".
To show a "star" to denote it is a bookmark.
Did you try to reproduce the issue with a fresh profile?

Same behavior?

I realized that the location bar drop-down menu has a limit in the number of entries, so the bookmarks get pushed down the list. I don't understand why but surely there is a good reason and I found the special keys http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/awesome-bar-find-your-bookmarks-history-and-tabs#w_changing-results-on-the-fly

The limit is annoying but configurable in about:config, so no worries.
