It would be good to get a blanket permission to release telemetry graph data, or even decide to make the dashboard at https://metrics.mozilla.com/ publicly-accessible. (It's currently behind a Persona login; I don't know whose logins are accepted and whose aren't.)
I can't see how it would ever be possible to identify individual users' contributions from the aggregate data, or even if one could, how much of a privacy intrusion it is for someone else to know that my average OCSP response time is 384ms, or my browser janks every 15 seconds.

Hi Gerv,
Alina from our team has volunteered to work on this one. I've added David Boswell to the bug because I think we can leverage some of the thinking from releasing contributor dashboards. David has also added Annie Elliott for her interest in a streamlined metrics approach.
Tom, Gilbert and I put together a How To Guide on releasing data that may be a good starting point. It's at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Privacy/HowTo/Deidentify
As a next step, let's have a call to reset and make sure everyone is on the same page. I'll send that out shortly.
