User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0
Build ID: 20130201065344

Steps to reproduce:

I mounted an external storage with sshfs (https://code.google.com/p/win-sshfs/) as network drive P: on my Windows computer.

I created an ICS file (file:///P:/Calendar/xxx.ics).

I can display the events.
I can create/modify one event.
I cannot create/modify a second event.

After restarting Thunderbird/Lightning I can create/modify just one event again.

Actual results:

When I create/modify a second event I get this error message:
An error occured when writing to the calendar Xxx
Error code: MODIFICATION_FAILED
Description: The calendar has been changed remotely. Please reload and apply your changes again!

Expected results:

I should be able to create/modify more than one event per session.

This setup works on Linux without any problem (I mount the same storage with sshfs and access the same file).

This may be a bug with sshfs, related to this: https://code.google.com/p/win-sshfs/issues/detail?id=42. In the mail they point to http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f57/powerpoint-2007-file-access-from-samba-253853.html#post2693668 with a possible solution on the sshfs's side.

Can anybody of you gurus confirm that? Is a Lightning workaround feasible?
