RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 766495

People

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0
Build ID: 20130201065344

Steps to reproduce:

Replying to an email already containing an inline image shown in the reply.

Actual results:

Image in an email currently being written gets replaced with one from an email in Drafts folder.

At a random point approx 10 to 40 mins of a reply email being written that contains an image, the existing image can suddenly be substituted from an old email stored in drafts, seemingly the same image from any one of the oldest three stored in drafts.

It doesn't always happen predictably, but if the new email window is left open long enough, the image will replace in all test undertaken today, taking on the proportions of the image it's replacing but not the same size. Other people have reported the problem associated with images currently being placed in a new email.

If all old draft emails are deleted and compacted out of the Drafts folder the problem ceases until more emails collect in drafts that contain an image.

The problem only seems to occur on POP accounts and it does not matter if the Drafts folder is the default Local Folder or a newly assigned one.

Expected results:

Images should not randomly get replaced with ones stored in drafts!
