844035 - Phonebook :: Settings :: Account :: Shows the option for 'Delete Profile' but words shows that it is for ''Delete Account'.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1) AppleWebKit/537.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/24.0.1312.57 Safari/537.17

Steps to reproduce:

1. Sign in as vouched or non-vouched user. Go into 'Settings'.
2. Go to 'Account' tab.
3. See the button 'Delete Account'.
4. Click on this button and confirm it.
5. Again log in with same email-id of deleted account.



Actual results:

1. Message shows that the button 'Delete Profile' is to delete your account . But actually it is for deleting your profile. Even after deleting, one can log in again with same email-id and password.  My account is not deleted, just the profile.
2. Refer the attached screenshot for the text shown.



Expected results:

1. Text to be rephrased to say "Delete Profile".

Thanks for this bug report.

Every time you sign-in to the system a new Account is created if there is none. So if you delete your account and login again, you'll get a new account. 

I believe this behavior is generating a false feeling that your account is not deleted.

I'll mark this as New to fix the text in the buttons and discuss the UX of Persona experience.

Suggested fix: When an account is auto-generated (as Giorgos describes in comment 2) provide a message in the UI welcoming the new user.

The text has been rephrased as part of our profile redesign (bug 879052). The issue in comment 2 should be fixed in a separate bug, so I'm going to file that bug and mark this one as resolved. Thanks for reporting this Ankur!
