Refreshing a tab updates the history. That behavior to me is a bit odd. If possible I'd like for there to be a toggle option.
I don't necessarily delete my history. I still have some entries from 2009.
I like to be able to deduce how I found a certain website. With the way fx behaves now, I can't.
I upgraded straight from 3.6.28 to 18.0.2. In 3.6.28 I was able to set Firefox to work offline, enter a URL or open a tab via the history, deselect offline work and refresh.

Severity: minor → normal
With the latest Nightly after setting the work offline setting, I open one website from last months history. After that I still have the website in the last month history and in the today history.

That works as well just fine on latest Nightly and refreshing the tab does not update the history. Can you try on the latest Nightly build to see if this issue still happens to you?

Unfortunately it does work the same as the version I'm currently on, Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0.

Do the following. > Work Offline> open any page from the history> deselect Work Offline> press Try Again or hit F5.
In the end it doesn't matter. A few minutes after I posted the "bug", I found a workaround.
