Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 Build ID: 20130215130331 Steps to reproduce: I have used Firefox for years now. In the past, it has always remembered my settings under >tools > options. For at least the last three days, it has somehow reset certain settings when I open it for the first time in the morning. Actual results: It resets home page to Mozilla; it resets "when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately; under the "bookmarks" menu, it adds "recently saved bookmarks" which I have deleted. Overall, it seems to be acting as if I'm a new user to Firefox each day. Expected results: Homepage should be Comcast. Firefox has always remembered all these settings in the past.

Have you tried everything mentioned in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save?esab=a&s=Preferences+are+not+saved&r=0&as=s ?

Scott, do you still have this problem with the newer Firefox version? Have you tried following the suggestion in comment 1?
