A Operating system crash is never the fault of a usermode application like Firefox.
Only a driver can crash the system and it's today Firefox that triggers the crash on your system, maybe tomorrow a different application will do the same.
Only a fixed driver can fix the crash.
I would start updating your graphic card driver first followed by the mouse drivers.
You can also try to disable the graphic hardware acceleration in Firefox (options/advanced/general , followed by a FF restart) as workaround
Anyway, there is not much that we can do since the issue is not in our code.

It sounds like this is the same issue as in Bug 832749. Did you ever find a fix? If not, you may find some useful info in that bug report. It would be useful to know the make and model of the graphics card you were using and the driver version number. (You can find these by typing about:support into the address bar.)
