Steps to reproduce:

1. Create fresh profile
2. Open this URL : https://www.google.co.in/search?num=50&hl=en&newwindow=1&q=heart+of+the+swarm+engine+update&oq=heart+of+the+swarm+engine+update&gs_l=serp.3...395775.404295.0.404498.14.14.0.0.0.0.431.2028.5j8j4-1.14.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.4.serp.T-0qddmPKjo

3. Search result page is opened.
4. An Anandtech article is in the search result.  There is a photograph of the person who wrote that article. 

5. Try to drag and drop the persons photo to a new tab


Actual results:

The photo doesnt open in a new tab


Expected results:

the photo should have opened in the new tab.
Chrome and opera can do this.

Because the format is data:image/jpeg;base64.
