Steps to reproduce:

I selected some text on my current page. After that, I clicked on Search google for 'text' in the right click menu.



Actual results:

A new tab opened with the search results. After a few seconds my current tab also opens the search results. It happens even if i move to another tab.


Expected results:

The search results should only open in a new tab and the current tab should not be affected.

I observe this behaviour in the current nightly on mac os x and the aurora version on linux.

Does it reproduce in Safe mode? Or with a clean profile? might be worth while to check your tab preferences in about:config. (or about:support to see the ones you have modified)

WFM on Mac 10.8.2 with the latest Nightly. Arnavkaira007, do you still see the problem in Safe mode and in today's Nightly?

I don't see it in safe mode. 
Testing different addons now.
My default behaviour is for focus to immediately change to the google results tab. How do i change it?
