846401 - File handler checkbox in front of "Do this automatically for files like this from now on" disappears when it is checked

Steps to reproduce:

I went to http://goo.gl/9Ok74 and clicked on the memory_usage.png.


Actual results:

It brought up the File Handler, I chose the app I wanted to handle the file type, and I clicked on the checkbox in front of "Do this automatically for files like this from now on." When I did this, the checkbox disappeared. I clicked in the area where the checkbox should be and it re-appeared and went back to its unchecked state.


Expected results:

The checkbox should not have disappeared and should only have had a check mark in it.

wfm with a current Firefox trunk build and a 2week old Seamonkey trunk build.
Note: image/png is an internal supported mime-type and the file save as window only appeared due to a content-disposition: attachment header.
The "Do this automatically" will not work

I reverted back to 2.16 and when I perform the same STR, things work as normal. Did your WFM happen on XP SP3?

Well, this is weird. I installed SM2.17b1 again and the behavior is normal. Meaning, the checkbox does not disappear when I check it. I don't know what to say. Some kind of wonky glitch? Marking as WFM and will re-open if it comes back.
