Hi,

Moving forward with the Student Ambassadors Program, we will need a template design for our email newsletter (dependent on the logo design bug 842694). This is a placeholder bug pending the design of the logo.

Please let me know if you have any questions. As the program will re-launch in early April - it would be great to have this completed by mid-March.

Assigning this to Ty. Am a bit concerned about the timing though...if 842694 isn't due until late March, I'm not sure how much we can do on this before then. Should we revisit the timing on both bugs?

Also, Kate, could you attach the previous email to this bug as an image? The methods used above aren't coming through for me.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I think we should revisit timing. Would it be possible to have the logo done by March 22nd and then the template design completed by the 29th?

Just want to clarify that this is a redesign of the email newsletter and signup form right?

(It was a little hard to tell since the attachment in Comment 2 only shows up as unformatted text.)

For the signup form - are we using the existing fields or will they need to be updated? Are any of the fields considered *required*? Is the copy within the header staying the same?

Hi Ty,

This is just a redesign of the email newsletter. I'm not sure if we need a redesign of the sign-up form? The re-launching of the form is being addressed with Bug 831597 (Ben S is driving re-launching the form on bedrock). Please let me know if you think it also needs to be redesigned and I will file another bug.

Bugzilla decided to upload the image before i clicked submit :(

Here is the updated design of the student reps newsletter which is now more modular than before. I have also included a 600px x 200px Promo banner below the title area which can be replaced with an updated image or removed depending on the content.

Ty - WE LOVE THIS!  I believe you know how much by how much I freaked out on IRC yday.

Spoke with Kate and she loves it too. The only change she had was to change "Bulletin" to "Ambassadors" to help clarify the program a bit more.

My only style change is changing the blackboard background of "In this issue" to a solid gray color so that we can hard code this into HTML instead of using an image (less images = more awesome for emails).  

We can ask SilverOrange to make these changes when we send it to them to slice & code if you'd like.

Please send on the PSD of the template when you get a chance so we can get it over to be coded.
