User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 Build ID: 20130215130331 Steps to reproduce: 1) Go to ebay.com 2) Select any auction item 3) Go down near the bottom of the page to "Questions and answers about this item" and click "Ask Seller a Question" (you may need to log into ebay at this point). 4) Select topic "Other" and click Continue 5) The contact form will appear. Near the bottom is the Captcha. 6) Click "Listen to the numbers" and write down what you hear. Actual results: The numbers in the audio do not match the numbers in the Captcha box. The audio is correct and the displayed numbers are wrong. If you enter the numbers you heard the captcha will verify. If you enter the numbers you see, it will not verify. Expected results: The displayed numbers should correctly verify the captcha and should match the audio. I have verified that this issue only occurs with Firefox (and has for a long time). The issue does not occur with IE9 (9.0.8112.16421) or Chrome (25.0.1364.97 m). This has been reported quite a few times in ebay forums but it appears that no-one thought to enter a bug here.
I can't reproduce: the numbers that I see match the numbers that are read. I'm using a recent nightly, though. Could you please try to reproduce with a nightly? Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:23.0) Gecko/20130509 Firefox/23.0

Still a problem in 20.0.1. Can I install the nightly concurrently with the release? If not, can I revert to the release, or do I need to reinstall and restore a saved profile? Thanks.
Yes, you can install the nightly alongside the release and uninstall it when you're done. The nightly app will be named FirefoxNightly instead of Firefox. But you shouldn't use your normal profile, which would happen if you opened FirefoxNightly the way you normally open Firefox, so be careful not to do that. Create a new profile and run nightly with it as described here, replacing file paths with the nightly's path: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles You can delete the new profile and its files when you're done testing. Thanks! If you're unsure about all of this, I don't blame you, and you may want to back up your profile first: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles Does the problem happen all the time or only sometimes?
I have not had time to download and install the nightly build. However, I just sent a message on eBay and it is still broken in FF 22.0. It happens every time, easily reproducible. Thanks, Adam
