Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0
Build ID: 20130215130331
Steps to reproduce:
This issue clearly is related to going from the last FF18 release to 19.0 - I just verified this with two machines which were still running release 18. The issue holds for both win XP and MacOS 10.7.5/Lion operating systems.
Downloads are not displayed any longer immediately in the separate downloads window, but only after a while, perhaps upon starting another downloads. The total number of downloads is not shown any more. Clearing the window from completed downloads (when they are finally are displayed) clears them all (but does not stop the actual downloads in the background). With MacOS halting active downloads from within the downloads window is no longer possible.

Siggi, are you still experiencing this issue?
Please keep in mind that a new download manager was released in Firefox 20.

The problem appears to have solved in that the whole downloading process now is handled differently.
