User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20130303 Firefox/21.0 Build ID: 20130303042011 Steps to reproduce: I have been an Aurora channel user exclusively for longer than a year, upgrading daily through the "About Aurora" dialog, on my company provided laptop. On 2013-03-01 I moved to a fresh installed laptop: previously I had Windows 7 32-bit running from an Intel Core2 Duo, now I have Windows 7 64-bit running from an Intel Core i3. I have always belonged to the local "Administrators" group, using the en-US locale and the officially supported 32-bit application (regardless of Windows). Actual results: After installing Aurora 21.0a2 downloaded from mozilla.org it seems to work alright, except that no special items appear right-clicking the pinned taskbar icon: no recent items and no tasks, only the application shortcut itself ("Aurora"), "Unpin this program from taskbar" and "Close window" when running. Pinning the Aurora icon to the Start Menu does not show special items either. Bug 532960 and bug 722620 look like the same issue, but the former is "Resolved WFW" while the latter remains "Unconfirmed". Fully uninstalling+reinstalling and running in Safe Mode proved ineffective. Expected results: The jump list (either Taskbar or Start Menu) should show the items I have seen until now (Tasks and Recent Items). Other programs pinned in my Taskbar (IE9 and MS Outlook 2010) show their expected items.

Did you give it a minute? We don't populate those right on startup, I think there's a minute or two wait to avoid startup perf impact.

At this moment I've got Aurora up and running for about 45 minutes, but only "Aurora", "Unpin this program from taskbar" and "Close window" show by right-clicking the taskbar icon. I guess that the "Recent" pages would require a Places lookup, but the "Tasks" shouldn't require such a thing and neither section appear. Also, a couple of things I forgot to mention: [1] Before making the laptop/OS platform jump last Friday, I had Aurora 21.0a2 running in the old laptop/OS platform (Windows 7 32-bit) and this issue didn't happen there: I got "Recent" and "Tasks" sections in the taskbar icon context menu alright, as they were in the previous releases. Can't say whether having it good in previous releases masked an earlier problem until this brand new install, or whether this is a Windows 7 64-bit issue only, though. [2] In the new setup I just tweaked a handful of about:config entries (as always); nevertheless, all the browser.taskbar.* entries are at their default values (re-checked just in case).

What kind of install did you do? Standard install into program files using the firefox installer?

Yes, standard install; got the Win32 en-US installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-aurora.html and ran it, selecting Custom Install just for checking the options (left unchanged), so it ended at C:\Program Files (x86)\Aurora.
