I close all the pages in a browser, send the application in the background with the "home" button or "back".
The application loads the CPU at 100% (both cores) and so on until the battery is completely depleted. Previously, I used the "exit" button, now the button is not on the menu. I have to kill the process using the dispatcher.
The problem persists since appeared Firefox/Firefox beta for android. Repeatedly sent reports and feedback from the program, but the problem is not corrected.
My phone Samsung Galaxy S2 i-9100. The problem is there for all firmware (from 4.0.3 to 4.1.2). Yesterday installed version Aurora (arm6) - everything works fine, no problem!
Can you solve this problem or do I hope that the aurora arm 6 will go into beta and release?

You can close Firefox for Android by swiping it off (with your finger) your recent application listing like any other Android application. Doing so will quit the browser.

How many tabs do you have open; and which URL's? Do you have a tab playing video or in a game? Flash?

You should be installing ARMv7 builds (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora-android/fennec-21.0a2.multi.android-arm.apk)

Can you please try out either Nightly (http://nightly.mozilla.org) or Aurora (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora-android/fennec-21.0a2.multi.android-arm.apk) ARMv7 builds and report back if this works for you?

I close all tabs before clicking the "back". There are no tabs except the "about:home"

fennec-21.0a2.en-US.android-arm.apk - problems with background cpu loading ((
fennec-22.a01.multi.android-arm-armv6.apk - works fine! No problems

Testing fennec-21.0a2.multi.android-arm.apk. While the issue did not appear (usually immediately). I'll let you know if the problem will be in the future. Can I hope that the "normal" behavior goes on release?

Yesterday, the program (fennec-21.0a2.multi.android-arm.apk) has been updated to the new version automatically. The version number has not changed (about - Aurora 21.0a2 2013-03-05), just install the Russian version (?). The problem is back. No open sites, but CPU 100%. The program does not hang, responds normally (slowly of course), but to expand and collapse properly, sites can be opened. Load disappears after closing process. I installed again "fennec-22.0a1.multi.android-arm-armv6.apk", everything works fine, no background load. :(

I'm unable to reproduce this at all.
Using an i9100 (Android 4.0.4) as well, I start Firefox Beta/Aurora (ARMv7 builds) open a few tabs, visit sites, close them, hit the back button and then am monitoring CPU in the system task manager (is that what you're using?), and I see both applications are both using CPU 0.00% as they are both paused.
Can you provide simple steps to reproduce by first exiting Firefox Beta/Aurora and then starting from there?

Sorry for the long silence, it was not possible to go back to the problem.
Ок, that's what I did:
I
1. Load one time CWM Recovery.
2. Wipe Data/Factory reset.
3. Wipe /cache.
4. Wipe dalvik.
5. Format /system.
6. With the Odin I flashed the stock firmware (I9100XWLSE_I9100OXELS6_SER - 4.1.2 JB).
7. Passed the process of setting phone (google account etc.).
II
8. Install System panel (it works great, i've been using this program for a long time) and Better Battery Stats.
9. Install Firefox beta (from google play 20.04.2013).
10. Start firefox beta (I do not change any settings, I agree to report bugs).
11. Open the site, google.ru.
12. Ok, site opened, login, pass... Ok.
13. I press "home" and go back to desktop, then start System Panel. CPU 0-5%.
14. I long press "home" and restore Firefox, then I open the list of tabs and close the site google.ru with "x".
15. Firefox displays the main screen, all right.
16. I press "home" button and go back to desktop, then again start System Panel. CPU 0-5%. Firefox is visible in the list of background apps.
17. After 10-15 seconds, Firefox process starts to load the processor, I see this in System panel. Phone heats up.
18. Yesterday, I left the phone in this mode for an hour. I thought that this incomprehensible activity will end in itself.
19. Unfortunately, I had to forcibly kill the process. The CPU always kept at the highest mark, battery consumption was about 16% per hour (BBS stats).
If necessary, I can even send screenshots ) Or bugreports. Or what do you say

Awesome, thanks for letting us know! While it would be nice to find out exactly what fix this, it may not be that useful at this point since it's pretty late in the cycle to uplift to beta.
