I'm using branch comm build 20010607xx.

Steps to reproduce:
Load URL
Click on the "Video of the Week" link 
Wait for Real to load a bit (plugin and helper app loaded and started buffering)
watch windows freeze.

Expected results:
Only plugin loads, & windows shouldn't freeze.

The URL of the "Video of the Week" link (for reference) is:

i'm using the same build. I see the realplayer launching twice (plugin +helper 
app). Thisi s a known bug..gotta find it. However mozilla does not freez on my 
NT box..the video plays fine..

WFM, NS 6.1. No hang, I only see video in the external app. It appears to have
been popped up by the plugin on the page.

still a bug, i'm using comm build 2001090408 on win2000, I also had peter verify
that it hangs the whole system on his debug mozilla build.

peter said that if i load java first it would probably not hang.
it appears he was right. I visited java.sun.com then the worldnight link and
realplayer launched - but did not crash; although, i did get a system32.dll
error message when i clicked on the link...

i can't reproduce with comm build 2001091703 trunk or the branch build from today.
although i would be surprised if this just went away on it's own between
9/4/2001 and 9/17/2001.

re-closing for now. i will revisit later.
