User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_5) AppleWebKit/537.22 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/25.0.1364.152 Safari/537.22 Steps to reproduce: 1. On the voice over on mac. 2. Go to the homepage of phonebook. 3. Click on the search textfield. Actual results: The textfield does not specify what to search. Expected results: What to search should be read out.
Sambit - do you know what OSX uses to identify fields? What is your suggested fix?
Hii Matt, Sorry for the late reply. I had to think over this a lot and the solution could be that if you could add an alternative text for the textfield, then the screen reader could read it out. In OSX Voice Over is used to identify the field with the help of corresponding alternative texts.
