Nightly 22.0a1 (2013-03-06) Shows the playback statistics overlay on <video> as expected. 

Subsequently selecting 'Hide Statistics' from the right-click menu toggles the menu item back to 'Show Statistics' but doesn't actually hide the statistics.
In today's Nightly 22.0a1 (2013-03-07) the menu item doesn't flip either. Progress!
