Details

1) Open normal Firefox window. 2) Pin a tab. 3) Open a new Private window. 4) Close the normal window. 5) Close Firefox (private window). 6) Run Firefox - all pinned tabs are lost!

What's different between this bug and bug 587400? The STRs seem like the same to me.

Michal, is it reproducible with older versions of Firefox (FF19-)? Could you test please?

I can't reproduce this issue on the 03/26 Nightly, nor on Firefox 20 beta 7 (20130325214615). I tried to reproduce it on Windows 7 32bit and 64bit. Michal, can you reproduce this issue on the latest builds?

Sorry for the false alarm.

The bug is reproducible in Firefox 59. 1. Open a window, then pin a tab. 2. Open a new window. 3. Close the first window. 4. Close the second window. 5. Start Firefox, pinned tabs are lost.
If you have trouble to reproduce the bug, try to open a few tabs and browse the web a little in every window before closing. The bug only occured 3 out of 5 times to me.
I can reproduce the bug consistently on Firefox 60.0.1
