Steps to reproduce:

I'm using the Mac version of Thunderbird (17.0.3) and I'm not liking how you can only save attachments. If it's this way because you don't want users opening attachments and having them go into a cache folder, perhaps you could let users at least have the option to open the attachment after saving it. It's a bit irritating to have to navigate to the folder you saved the file to and manually open it.

I know, first world problems.
