Says who? :-) I can send email from your email address in about 5 seconds. What is harder for me is replying to email sent to you :-) Therefore, it's best to do challenge-response for PSL listings in the Private section. All you have to do is email them back and say "can you confirm this request came from you?", and wait for them to say Yes.

Well, actually I replied to him with a link of this issue and he confirmed he received it. submissions@publicsuffix.org was CCed, however the confirmation was sent only to my address.

Any reply to his email and response is fine; you don't need another one. :-) My point is simply that we can't just accept the source of an email as valid, we have to check by doing a reply-response. If you've done one (no matter the topic) then that's fine.
