Sometimes when viewing notifications or going back from editing an event the view will be busted.... should fix... this is a very low risk patch that adds a DB lookup for missing IDs that would otherwise cause errors.

Nobody in triage has seen this, so we'll track instead of block (will land automatically in v1.1++)

I think so... I ran into this problem myself which prompted me to fix it...
I can't say how often it happens it is a strange race condition and this is a very safe band-aid (rather then a true fix) for it.
