Reporter, would you please read the bug writing guidelines at
http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html and give a more
accurate description of what you are doing and what is failing please.

Please also provide a URL where the Java plugin, once installed, does not appear
to work. Also check that once the plugin has been installed, you go into
Preferences->Advanced, and ensure the "Enable Java" option is checked.

I have seen the same problem. I installed the Java plugin from the netscape ftp
site (after click on Get Plugin when it popped up) and it installed properly and
everything seemed to work fine. But when I goto a page Java does not start.
Marking NEW.

ksosez, do u again see the 'get plugin' puzlle icon when you revisit a java page 
after install? what build ?Thanks!

Yes i do get another get plugin dialog box...and build 2001061104 sorry should
have included that in the first place.
