The title says it all. The "Sent" folder is not consistent with the "Unsent Messages" folder name. I propose we rename "Unsent Messages" to "Outbox" because: 1. It's an outbox icon 2. That would be more consistent with the opposite - "Inbox" 3. Other email clients names it that way Jglick, does it make sense to you?
i don't like it because to me outbox implies that a mail carrier can collect the mail whenever it feels like it, whereas unsent messages means messages which i haven't decided to give to the mail carrier.

I have also reacted over this inconsistency. I don't think a plain "Unsent" would be unreasonable.

there's more than just a few places we need to fix: just in base/resources/locale/en-US alone: base/resources/locale/en-US/messenger.dtd:<!ENTITY sendUnsentCmd.label "Send Unsent Messages"> base/resources/locale/en-US/messenger.dtd:<!ENTITY folderContextSendUnsentMessag es.label "Send Unsent Messages..."> messenger.properties:sendingUnsent=Sending Unsent Messages messenger.properties:unsentFolderName=Unsent Messages msgSynchronize.dtd:<!ENTITY sendMessage.label "Send Unsent messages"> offline.properties:sendMessagesLabel=Would you like to send the messages in your Unsent Messages folder once you are online?" I'm sure compose has some. about that patch, you don't want to mess with the special folder foo (or the uri, but you didn't) let's leave this alone for now. not a big win.

I'd like to see this change happen, so I will grep through the tree and change this. Seth, can you explain why the "Unsent Messages" should not be changed to "Unsent" in the code that involves special folders?

Another question, should stuff like "Send Unsent Messages" really be changed? "Unsent messages" in that sentense refers to the messages themselves, not the Unsent Message folder.
