Steps to reproduce:

Go to a page requiring basic authentication with a URL that includes the username and password; such as http://user:pwd@mysite.com/foo.html

Change the hash with JavaScript:
window.location.hash = 'bar';



Actual results:

Page reloads.


Expected results:

Location hash should have changed.
