User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0
Build ID: 20130215130331

Steps to reproduce:

I am trying to scroll inside drop down lists using two finger scrolling from my synaptics touch pad with latest driver installed (16.2.21)

Actual results:

Firefox window blinks (something like loosing focus and again focused) just once time.
And this closes the drop down and starts scrolling into the page. I am facing this issue since I have installed Win 8. Don't know if it occurs on Win 7 or not.

Expected results:

It should scroll inside drop down
I have tried scrolling using external USB mouse. It worked fine as usual.
While in Google Chrome, I can scroll using two fingers by both my touchpad and external mouse.
I think this issue should be moved to Core - Event handling.
Component: Untriaged → Event Handling
Product: Firefox → Core
I've experienced similar situation with ASUS Smart Gesture. Although, the device is Elantech's, not Synaptics'. In my case, I cannot do it on Google Chrome too.

When your Firefox has focus and try two finger scroll on another application's window (e.g., explorer or taskbar), then, doesn't the another window get focus? I.e., Isn't Firefox's window deactivated?

If so, it's driver specific issue, I was tried to look for hacky fix for that. However, I've failed it already. (I tried to contact ASUS with this issue, but there is only user-support for the contact channel, and they couldn't understand my points though.)
Landed patches of bug 953146. The patch fixes this bug on my environment. I hope that you will test Nightly including the patch.
