Both imported and newly created bookmarks simply do not appear in the side
toolbox. Can sometimes be rectified by rm -rf'ing the .mozilla directory, then
re-importing nscomm settings. Pain in the ass. After a nightly build upgrade,
bookmarks will almost certainly not show up. They are there, however, as the
pull down menu at the top as well as the Personal Toolbar Menu are all there.
What do you mean 'not show up'... do you mean the panel is blank with the
Loading... message?
The panel is simply blank. Previously, I saw the situation you describe, but
now the panel is simply blank, with no "Loading", or anything. The Search and
other Panels operate fine.

yes, this is release noted. text as follows:

"Older Profiles may not display the bookmarks tab in the sidebar properly. The
workaround is to click on the "Tabs" button in My Sidebar and select the
"Customize My Sidebar" menu item. In the resulting window remove the bookmarks
tab, hit OK and restart Mozilla. Go back to the Customize window and add the
bookmarks tab. (Bug 71685)"

except that you probably don't have to actually restart Mozilla - but you _must_
click 'OK' before readding the tab.
