Description

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0
Build ID: 20130215130331

Steps to reproduce:

I pressed the down arrow on a newly opened tab (with the ctrl-click, while having the "open new tab in the background" option on).

Actual results:

The browser switch to the next tab.

Expected results:

The browser should have scrolled down.

In the tab options, you can choose "switch to new tab", this is deactivated for me.
I cannot reproduce on FF 19.0.2 Win XP, Win 7.
Here is what I did:
1. Have "switch to new tab" unchecked
2. Open google and search for something
3. CTRL+click on the first link -> the page opens in a background tab
4. Press down arrow (I'm still on google tab)
Actual result: page scrolls down

I'm on XP, but anyway, I managed to understand why does it only do this sometimes.

It only happens with links that are not supposed to be open on ctrl-click, I think, for example, opening mails in another tab on html-lite gmail will provoke this bug, while most links won't.
Can you please provide some more specific steps to reproduce the problem? (something like comment 3). I need to see the issue with my own eyes before going with this any further.

FF 19.0 Win XP

1. "Switch to new tab" option deactivated
2. Gmail set in html-lite mode (accessible in the loading screen)

3. Ctrl-Click on any mail in the inbox
4. Switch to newly open tab (mouse, ctrl-tab or arrows)

5. Try to scroll down with arrows.

What should have happened:
Scrolling down

What happened:
Switch to next tab (or previous tab if left arrow)

The tab keep understanding any arrow key press as a tab-switch order until you click in the window.

I don't remember much about the bug, but it appears to be fixed.
