Checktests are currently disabled on b2g desktop builds due to failures within the test suite. This bug is for tracking their re-enabling once the tests are green.

The dependent bugs are close to be fixed (or worked around), so might as well get the patch for this ready. Note that this includes localizer builds, though I'm not entirely sure it's really worth enabling tests for them. Let me know what you think and I can address it before pushing.

Also, do you have any suggestions for how I could try running checktests on a B2G Arm emulator build to see what the status there is?

The problem with the previous patch is that we were enabling the tests globally for all branches, but we don't want these run on the b2g18 branches. This patch adds branch-specific disabling and also cleans up the Try-specific special logic that's no longer needed.
