Here's what I did (on a page with several audio players): 1. Started playing a file. 2. Got the file's URL by using Firebug. 3. Closed the page. 4. In new tab, I entered the URL in the URL bar. 5. Saved the file. The file got "saved" very quickly, and upon examination, it was only a fraction of the file. Re-requesting the file resulted in complete download. This happened many times with several files within several minutes, so this is almost a consistent behavior. Note: Firefox does NOT indicate in any way that the download is incomplete, which is a data loss. Using 22.0a1 (2013-03-29)
If somebody hurries up, s/he will be able to reproduce this on http://www.entheos.com/May-Cause-Miracles/Play. The replay will be disabled some time today.
Fixing this shouldn't involve only detecting a failure. Instead, the downloader module should ensure that it end up with the entire file, not just a fragment that has been cached.

This just happened with http://awakeningtoabundance.s3.amazonaws.com/season004/ATA004_MorganaRae2.mp3 in FF 20.0.1. I initially started to play it on http://www.awakeningtoabundance.com/Solo4/call-MorganaRae719.php, then quickly interrupted the playback, and requested the direct URL mentioned above to save the file. All I got was about 6 MB of about 15 MB. And NO INDICATION from the download manager that the file didn't get saved completely. This is DATA LOSS.

Impossible to test this because the URLs expire. Is this related to one of your other reports?
The URL in comment 3 is still active. However, I haven't experienced the problem for a number of weeks.
