machine hasn't taken a job in 17 days. A reboot didn't help, and I can't login via VNC (password not accepted) nor RDP (connection timed out). Armen, what's the next step here?

I have disabled the slave in slavealloc and added a note.

bug 853634 tracks figuring out how to fix it.

Re-enabled and rebooted.

Re-enabled after switch fix in bug 1181615, and rebooted back into production.
